Ted Photographing a Caterpillar

My friends Ted Snider and Linda Woolven of The Natural Path Newsletter came to visit from Toronto a couple weeks ago for Victoria Day and we had a great time. Ted, a teacher by day, and writer/lead photographer for the newsletter, is always a lot of fun to see take pictures. Despite his lack of photographic training, he does what photographers are supposed to do – get the picture. He isn’t afraid of getting on his belly or stomping through muck to get the picture he is after. Here he is getting up close and personal with a caterpillar, prone on a dock. He got some great shots of it that I will link to if he puts them online.
It’s always fun to see people work when they really love what they do. The first time I took photos with Ted, I could tell that he had a real passion for it. He’s the type of person who strives to become better at everything he does, constantly enriches his own knowledge base and tries to incorporate new information and techniques. It’s really exciting to be with him and get swept into that type of fervor.
